Origins Roundup

Origins was fun, although I didn’t get in on the game I wanted. My fault, I left it too long.
Board games, though. Got to try Spirit Island, which is by the makers of Sentinels of the Multiverse and has some similarities. I liked it a lot. Acquired Red Letter, Yellow Letter, which is a very silly word party game I’m looking forward to playing with the group of editors.
Playtested a game called Cafe Hopper: Japan that I intend to buy when and if it comes out…very nice game design, cute art, and the designers seem like really good people.
Got home to a massive heatwave that kept me indoors, which I’m less happy about, but it’s better now.
Also got my invite to attend Capclave this year. I’m contemplating more panel ideas to throw at them. GoH is Naomi Kritzer, who I have a lot of respect for as an author! (And she’s a nice person, too).
Other than that…no real news, but life goes on. Please stay cool next week, though…
