My Name is Ben, James Ben
Quantum Leap 2.9 "Nomads"

A short one this week. Just the one review, but I’ll be back more in the swing in the New Year. Blame holiday hiatuses and the like.
Quantum Leap Season 2, Episode 9 “Nomads”
My name is Ben, James Ben. Or something. Ben finds himself in Cairo in the body of a CIA agent. Good thing he has Addison back as his hologram, because none of the others are remotely qualified.
The leap…to help a notorious spy defect to America. And Hannah is there again.
Addison’s theory is that the accelerator is bringing them together because they’re in love. So, what, the accelerator is a matchmaker now?
I don’t buy it. Something else is going on here, and it might have something to do with Tom’s plan to bring Ben home.
Oh, and Addison is definitely still in love with Ben and possibly starting to question her future with Tom. She’s certainly jealous of Hannah.
Honestly, it gets a little bit soap sudsy, but it is at least against the backdrop of a moderately interesting spy thriller. Also, Ben thinks he’s failed the leap. And almost wishes he had failed so he could stay with Hannah…but in that case what happens to the poor guy he’s possessing?
We don’t get a leap preview. Just…there’s something in DARPA files that might get Ben home. Clearly this is for if they get canceled…
