Modern or Roman – The Fall and Rise of Glass

Glass is something we take for granted. Glass beer bottles. Glass windows. Wine glasses. It’s a technology almost as basic as ceramics, but it actually isn’t nearly as old.

Glass is harder than pottery, and good glass is even harder. So, let’s talk about glass, including why a glass bead found in a field in Europe is most likely Roman or modern…and nothing in between.
