Leaving on a Jet Plane
Back in a bit.

So, I leave for my father’s funeral some time later today. A quick flight to London (red-eye, of course), and then a train trip to Weston-Super-Mare. My mother used to call the place Weston-Super-Mud. It has two miles of wonderful beach from which you can’t see the sea at low tide.
(Don’t go looking for it. Every so often somebody gets stuck in the mud and dies because they can’t get them out before the tide comes in. Less so now people have cellphones, but nope, don’t).
Update-wise, I uploaded the final manuscript of Tyranis yesterday, so it’s not an assetless preorder any more. Hard to believe book two is done. (I do still have to do some release day stuff because DriveThru doesn’t do preorders and I need to add it to my web store).
If you like space opera with fun aliens, pick up Kyx when you can.
I’ll be doing an awards eligibility post at some point. Waiting on word on one sale that may end up being this year or next year.
Next weekend I’ll be at Philcon. Unfortunately I still don’t have my schedule because somebody at Philcon is a masochist. I was hoping I’d be able to queue that post for Friday, but unless it arrives before I leave I’ll be posting a free piece of flash fiction instead. So maybe you guys should hope it doesn’t!
This blog is going to be unattended until Monday, November 21. Comments are locked down on new posts because I can’t moderate them. I think I can put them back afterwards, apologies if not.
Wish me luck!
