Kaboom!

The Handmaid’s Tale 2.6 “First Blood”
The first blood here is Serena Joy’s…we see a flashback of her being deplatformed and then shot in the time before.
Or perhaps it’s the terrorist attack on the new, purpose-built Rachel and Leah Center, where Ofglen seizes her opportunity…to take out 26 Commanders (and, incidentally, 31 Handmaids). I can’t entirely blame her…a physically broken woman, her life destroyed.
And they are talking about processing “lots of girls.”
This episode is all about terrorism and crackdowns and I dread to think what Gilead will do in response to this.
We’ve already seen what Waterford is capable of to protect Serena Joy. He may view her as his property, but he also genuinely loves her. In his own way. As much as he is capable of.
