I was watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony. My favorite part was the animatronic horse. My second favorite was the balloon cauldron.

My least favorite part was that we didn’t really see the full parade of nations. Not only was this unfair on athletes from skipped countries, it made it harder to grade the uniforms, and why else watch the opening ceremony.

But I have now heard from disability activists that their favorite part was “Please stand if you are able.”

Sometimes it’s the little things that make disabled people feel included and happy.
