Farpoint Roundup

So, what of Farpoint I was able to actually attend was awesome. Then late Saturday night I came down with “food poisoning”…that turned out to be COVID. I apologize to anyone I gave it to.
The highlight of the con was:
Me: That’s a really realistic rabbit plushie.
Rabbit plushie: twitch
Me: It’s alive!
Yes, somebody showed up with live bunnies! Two therapy rabbits in training, getting used to crowds of people. Their planned career is to visit nursing homes. Both bunnies got properly greeted and petted. (There was also somebody with a 7-month-old service dog, but that happens all the time. Bunnies, not so much!)
Weirdest costume award goes to the guy wandering around as Scott the Lawn Care guy. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone cosplay a commercial before.
Thanks to everyone who attended my panels, sorry for bailing on the hopepunk panel.
So, on to the news. My application for an Author’s Alley table at AwesomeCon has been approved. It’s March 13 through 15 and I will once more be sharing my table with Jonathan Uffelman. Rantings of a Wandering Mind will be there too, but now they have two authors they need their own table! Kind of hoping the AwesomeCon gods put us next to each other, but there’s no option to request that. But please visit both tables!
