Don't Double Cross Magneto

X-Men 4.18 “Beyond Good And Evil Part 1”
Uh oh. Pockylips has his hands on a time machine. And is lending it to Sinister. All kinds of bad things are bound to ensue.
This includes kidnapping Jean Grey-Summers right after her wedding (why do they even try getting married), getting Bishop timelost, and trying to abduct Xavier.
What a mess. We need to get that time machine away from the big blue guy, stat!
(And given how time travel works in this universe, really bad things could happen…)
X-Men 4.19 “Beyond Good And Evil Part 2”
Apocalypse uses time travel about the way you would expect…to give himself even more time. Gotta love immortality, am I right?
Meanwhile, Cable is heading for the last time machine his government has stashed away. Scott is desperate to find Jean. (Who is being damseled here way too much, please stop damseling powerful mutrants, it looks bad).
It seems like this is more evil everywhere than beyond anything with two more episodes to go in the arc…and the season.
X-Men 4.20 “Beyond Good And Evil Part 3”
So, brilliant plan to deal with Apocalypse.
Go back in time.
Destroy his Lazarus chamber right when it’s built.
Of course, if he hadn’t built the…yeah. Do you smell the paradox problem here? Because I do.
And besides, Apocalypse is just as smart and knows what they’re up to. We know where this is going…it’s going to be a nasty ambush for our time traveling friends.
Thankfully, the X-Men do have an ace, named Shard…
X-Men 4.21 “Beyond Good And Evil Part 4”
Oh, good. The only thing the Massive Paradox will do is erase Apocalypse. That doesn’t work with past time travel rules.
Ah, consistency, not always a thing in cartoons.
All of the powerful psychics in the Marvel universe as of the late 1990s was a fun easter egg, mind. Yeah, Apocalypse was connecting them because “Time and thought are one” or something.
Nope.
None of that makes sense, and I’m a Dr Who fan.
The exchange between Magneto and Wolverine amused me highly, though. This brings us to the end of season four.
And season five is somewhat curtailed. Looks like I’ll be able to start X-Men 97 soon…
