Convention News!

Woot! I’m going to be busy.
First of all, I got my invite to be on programming for Balticon and signed up for 24 panels. We’ll see how many I’m eventually sorted onto. Also, my favorite novel of 2024, Samantha Mills’ The Wings Upon Her Back is nominated for the Compton Crook.
I’m hoping Mills makes it to the con so I can hit her up for a signed copy of this darkly beautiful book.
Then, I’ve been nominated for an award myself! Kyx has been nominated for the Webster award, for Best Novel by a Virginian Author. This is given out annually at RavenCon. Wish me luck! The award’s voted on by the public, too.
I’m going to have a table at AwesomeCon, the DC ComicCon, sharing with a wonderful new author named Jonathan Uffelman. I’ll have lots of books for sale and lots of voice for conversation.
Finally, the location and dates of the 2025 Nebula Weekend have been announced…June 5 through 8 in, of all places, Kansas City.
I know. I have already received my marching orders and burnt ends will be duly acquired.
I’m looking forward to seeing a little bit of a city I wouldn’t have otherwise thought of visiting.
So, the last thing is:
Council will be available tomorrow, finishing out the series (okay, it’s technically up, but official launch is the first).
This project was supposed to be finished in 2022, but uh, yeah, something happened.
What’s up next? I’m working on a novella for a traditional publisher, after that? My muse is flitting around and refusing to be nailed down.
Hoping to see some of you at RavenCon, Balticon, AwesomeCon, or the Nebulas!
