Breaking Seals

Wynonna Earp 2.8 "No Future in the Past"
They blew quite a bit of budget on this one. Juan Carlo, who is dying, gets Wynonna to go on a vision quest.
Into the past, of course. She learns a bunch of information, including the fact that Bobo doesn't deserve to be in Hell, and that Doc Holiday's ring is the third seal. If its broken, Bulshar Clootie, a really nasty demon, will be released. Also, Doc will probably die.
Waverly is proven not to be an Earp.
Wynonna dies for a few seconds. Which wakes up at least some of the revenants. Bobo for sure.
Maybe they can free him this time.
Wynonna Earp 2.9 "Forever Mine Nevermind"
Was Wyatt 100% hero and good guy? Apparently not, based off of the fact that Rosita turns out to be, well...a revenant. And it seems he killed her when going after her boyfriend.
There's also a creepy demon doll that makes Doc and Wynonna fight. There had to be a creepy doll at some point.
And a doll/Dolls pun, of course.
We also knew Tucker wasn't dead. A body burned beyond recognition in this show? Obviously some poor homeless guy.
Well, he's dead now, because Beth ate him. I don't even have any sympathy whatsoever. He was trying to abduct Waverly and all.
And Nicole is in real danger now...
Things are ramping up. Three episodes left in this season, does that mean the seal will break?
I think so.
Will Doc survive?
Wynonna Earp 2.10 "I See a Darkness"
Oh dear.
Mercedes gets bitten by a Widow, the other one offers the anti venom to Waverly in exchange for the third seal.
And Waverly is pretty strong until her girlfriend is threatened.
Oh, and Nicole's wife shows up. Estranged wife, thankfully.
But this episode ends with the widows with the seal, Doc back in the well, and Wynonna...missing.
Is this a lead up to...well...probably one of the Required Episodes.
We've had Boxing, but we haven't had The Lead Is In The Looney Bin yet. Nor have we had Alternate Reality Without Our Hero.
Either of those could be where this is going...
Wynonna Earp 2.11 "Gone As A Girl Can Get"
Yeah, it's Alternate Reality Without Our Hero. This one always bugs me a little bit because I have reservations about Chosen Ones.
In this reality, Wynonna never existed. Doc is the chief revenant and has taken over the Earp Homestead and turned it into Evil Ranch <tm>.
But Doc remembers and knows what's going on, and manages to convince some people before Dolls and Doc kill each other.
Waverly's turn to save the day by breaking Bobo out of the looney bin (because, instead of the lead being in the looney bin, its some random person), finding the Iron Witch, and breaking the spell, restoring everything.
Just in time for the third seal to be broken, of course.
Wynonna Earp 2.12 "I Hope You Dance"
The Widows can't be killed with Peacemaker...they have a shield.
Looks like they aren't in agreement anymore, though. Do they want their husband back or not? Meow, hiss.
Meanwhile, the Iron Witch makes them one bullet that can kill the Widows or their husband.
This leads to a ridiculous feat of gun fu and goodbye Widows. Meanwhile, Bulshar, their husband, is still in his coffin. He's too weak to leave it yet.
Wynonna pops out a baby girl, but Waverly takes her away to be hidden...after making sure she can cross the Ghost River border. As can Waverly. We're assuming this means neither is part revenant (but maybe it just means part revenants can cross the border). I'm mostly on the not part revenant side of things. It seems much more likely that Alice is Doc's kid.
So, we leave the season with...Bobo Del Rey in the well with no Lassie to get him out, Bulshar half awakened, and the Widows dead.
(Bobo has an idea as to who Bulshar's next bride will be). None of this is coming back to haunt them in season 3, of course).
