Bad Decisions Abound

There really should be a ship in this show called the Bad Decision.
Black Sails 3.6
Bad decisions: Rackham returning to Nassau to get pardons for himself and Bonny. Not going to happen. Flint challenging Teach to a duel. Really?
The writers want us yelling at the screen and they’re doing a pretty good job of it.
Rackham is trying to double cross the English and outright says he’d rather have the Spanish destroy Nassau than surrender to English rule.
You could have just changed your name, married Anne, and been rich, Jack. Well, maybe not married as she seems bizarrely averse to the idea. But still…
I think Jack wins the Bad Decision award for now…
Black Sails 3.7
Bad decisions: Sleeping with Eleanor Guthrie, double crossing Anne Bonny.
Eleanor has the governor right where she wants him. He thinks the reverse. He’s not the smartest…or rather, he’s not used to dealing with women who are so much smarter than him.
Oh, and bad plans: Using the gems as bait. But Anne hands them over. Now they have to get them and Jack back.
I wonder if the island the maroons are on is Treasure Island.
Also: Arrrrr!
I’m in full blown pirate mode right now.
Black Sails 3.8
Bad decisions: Sleeping with Max, trusting Max, double crossing Anne Bonny.
Oh, and starting random fights. There’s a lot of violence in this episode, and most of it doesn’t take place on a ship.
We even have a chase scene. Those horses looked tired afterwards.
Oh, another bad decision: Trusting Eleanor.
Heck, just don’t trust anyone in this show.
Clever use of the horizon. Shame it didn’t work out. Spyglasses are a bit of a problem, aren’t they.
I don’t know quite what’s going to happen now, but I don’t believe Eleanor is ever going to change.
Certainly she isn’t swearing any less…
