AwesomeCon!

So, why didn’t I post yesterday? Because my brain went “It’s a local con, you’ll have time.”
Uh-huh.
Yesterday was 11 hours door-to-door, 7.5 on the floor, and a load in that…it’s not the con’s fault half of Artists’ Alley showed up to load in at 10am, trying to sandwich between rush hour and the 11am they told us to check in by.
Next year give us 11:30am? Evening load in on Thursday would be even better, but they’d probably have to pay extra for that.
Today is going to be 11 hours door-to-door and 9.5 on the floor.
It was all worth it for the couples costume of Carmen Santiago…and Waldo.
(And the usual plethora of assorted anime characters).
I’ll be there all day (barring short breaks) at table C-14 if you want to swing by and buy a book. And maybe chat, but less chatting time today. Saturday at a big con gets kind of intense.
And one of the mistakes people new to this make is not to eat enough. You think you’re just sitting there talking to people and either skip lunch or eat a muffin…and then just crash because it actually takes a lot of energy.
I’m about to head off. Wish me the blessing of lighter luggage!
