Achoo!

I hate living in DC during the spring. I’m allergic to cherry pollen, and don’t respond, shall we say, well to antihistamines.
In other words, sniffle sniffle. (Wearing a mask outside helps, but one of the fun things about flowering cherries is that their pollen is very small. It blows all aross the city and building envelopes don’t always keep it out…especially this one. I can’t sleep with a mask on…)
Rant over.
In better news, I posted all of my books to Itch. Wait, isn’t that a game site? Yes, but they now take books, so why not put them there? It’s part of my philosophy of meeting readers where they are (and letting people avoid Amazon).
I was doing a great job of writing all of the short fiction calls for the year now so I can focus on other things, but somebody added two more on me ;).
Also reading through the Nebula packet. I finally read Someone You Can Build A Nest In and understand why everyone loves it. But now I’m onto Book of Love which is…640 pages. I did need something to weigh down the fern so it doesn’t blow over, unfortunately it’s an ebook.
I mean, I know it’ll be 640 pretty good pages, but that’s still a tome!
Choices are being made slowly and I’ll probably post something about them…already did Short Fiction, Novelette, and Game. Game was tough because I don’t actually like most of what got nominated, not in the sense of quality, but in the sense of “This isn’t my thing” and as a Mac user, I can’t play everything.
(Note, it’s hard to judge a game when you can’t play it and all the gameplay videos you can find are actual plays with commentary. The commentary is too distracting. I’m looking at you, Elden Ring).
Other than that, life goes on and the temperature warms.
