Something shocking happened at Farpoint this weekend...a long time Bond fan with a personal obsession with Goldeneye asked me "What is spy-fi?"

For somebody to be a James Bond fan for years and not know the term made me wonder...how many people don't know it who should? I had to give the definition on the spot and may run a panel on it next year if I can.

But for now, let's talk about this genre, which many feel peaked in the 1960s. What is it and is it actually science fiction?
