Update to Helena63 Email Problem
Helena63.com & Class Creator software provider
I want to start this update by saying that Friday September 12, 2025, I sent you a class email. If you received this email, it means Class Creator is working for you and you do not need to implement the recommendations that I am going to make in this update. The only working email service I know is Gmail. I switched my logon ID in Class Creator to Gmail and it works for me. Exhibit II shows that 48 classmates use Gmail. Helena63 should be working for you. If you are Gmail and you did not get this class email, there is section in this email are listed below on how you can change your email settings to better ensure you get Class Creator emails.
Exhibit I shows the emails servers associated with our class. I know that for our site msn.com (Microsoft) does not work today. The original Hotmail was moved to Outlook but I see some comments about not being kept current. This would be a candidate for upgrading to a newer service. I do not know if the rest of email websites are working or not.
The problem for email servers today is minimizing spam and scam emails being sent out under a given name, emails sent to junk, and emails with bad addresses. Class Creator has these problems because of the number of the schools that they support, and the large changes to classmates’ addresses causing false email address notifications. After extensive research, I found that we could make changes in a classmate’s email configuration that could increase the changes that Class Creator’s emails would not be blocked.
Classmates Whitelisting their Class Creator emails on their devices
Whitelisting is telling your email server to let this email come to your email box. You should make sure that you have declared Class Creator emails as “not junk” and put the Class Creator email address in your contact list. See that Class Creator resides in all the devices where you get email. I have included a tutorial on some of the email providers and how to whitelist our Class Creator address:

If clicking on website does not take you to the site, copy and paste the above address in your browser address box and hit enter.
Adding An Additional Email Address That the Email Server Does Not Block
Most of our blocked email is coming from the email service provider. Their filters determine Class Creator is Scam or Spam. You and I cannot fix this problem. However, you can create an alternate email address and put it into your profile. When you put an additional email address into Class Creator, the email system will send you emails to both addresses. In my case my Microsoft does not get the email, but my alternate address using Gmail does get the email. I also installed the Gmail APP on my phone so I can see if I get new emails. If you want to be more sophisticated, many of the email systems can forward emails to your other email address.
Here is how you add an alternate email address to your account.
1. Go to Gmail.com and create a new account.
2. Log onto Helena63.com
3. Click on the icon of the half person in upper right corner of the home screen
4. Click on edit Contact info
5. Add your new email address to the Alternate Email located under your primary address.
6. Install Gmail APP on your phone and move it to the same icon where other email app is. (if you have unanswered mail it will show on the Gmail icon)
I am now more optimistic that Class Creator is going to fix this email problem. How long it will take them is anybody’s guess. Jessica from Class Creators says that they are working on a new update to the email servers to be delivered in the next few weeks. This is discussed in Exhibit II and is encouraging.
In trying to solve this problem for our class, I asked myself how long I have had my current email provider. For me, it has been over 20 years. Is it time for change? As mentioned above 48 of our users are Gmail. If you decide it is time to change, start small like adding the Gmail as alternate to Helena63, then start adding a few people at time to see if you like it. You can be more sophisticated and have one email system forward to another. It is just a thought.
MY Plan of Action To See If We Can Make Class Creator Email Work
By the time you receive this newsletter I will have sent you a Helena63 class letter. Sometimes class emails do not get delivered immediately. You should wait a day to see if you received the class creator email. I tested this idea and my email came a lot faster than a day later. If you received the class creator email, you do not need to make any changes. If you did not receive the class email, my recommendations would be to make sure that you have whitelisted noreply@classcreator.net as discussed above. I would then create Gmail account and add it to your alternate email in your contact information. If you have a Gmail account and it is not working, you need to call me at 801-599-8220 so I can see what might be happening with you.
For the people that did not receive email and are not using Gmail, please make the changes I described above. If you have problems making the changes, call me. On September 25, 2025, I am going to send a second-class email to see if the changes that you made worked. If they did not work, you will have to wait to see if the Class Creator fixes the email system. You could also email me at Jack@jackholt.us. Tell me what changes you made. Maybe I can figure out another idea.
I plan to keep the outside Newsletter subscription for couple of months so I have a way of communicating to all of you. I get their notifications as to who received the emails.
My expectation is to get the Class Emails and Notifications working allowing us to have a great mini-reunion next year. Put it on your September 2026 Calendar.
If you have questions or ideas to make this better, let me know.

Class Creators Response To My Questions
Monday, September 1, 2025 at 7:06 PM - Response #7
Hi Jack,
1. If all goes well we will be launching it within the next few weeks.
2. Yes we send duplicates if they add an alternate email address. Gmail is free and Google is committed to keeping it updated so yes I would recommend gmail in general.
3. Hotmail appears to be sporadic for some and not delivering or bouncing for others. Microsoft stopped supporting that product in 2012 and they may be using it as a testing ground for some of their new filters. They don't always provide bounces and there is no postmaster to report it to so we can't ask them why they aren't bouncing.
Bounce reporting should improve in general based on the tests we have been running on the new set up.
Our email system is not a full contact management system with delivery/bounce data for each address. It would require a lot of additional overhead and would impact our ability to offer email as part of the system package. If you see a bounce in your external email system I would clean it up in this system as well during this update process.
4. Only platinum email would need to add other addresses as they would also have a noreply@theirdomain.com to add. Your class would not need to add anything else.
5. Hotmail is the only one that we are hearing consistent issues with at the moment.
Best thing you can do is have them whitelist if they can. Most email clients allow you to add noreply@classcreator.net to contacts where as others will have a separate area to add whitelisting. I don't have information on every email provider. There are sites like this one that outlines many of the common providers
