Zine Machine! Inoscularum! Autumn with Puppy & Pig!

Hello, and welcome to my first newsletter!

Here’s where I share updates about my current projects, upcoming events, and other fun things!

First off, I’ll be tabling at Zine Machine on October 26th at the Durham Armory! 11 AM to 5PM.

It’s wild to think it’s already been about a year since I started printing out my comics and bringing them to events. Tabling has been such a great experience, and I’m looking forward to doing more of it in 2026! As of right now, Zine Machine is my last event of 2025. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for November and December events, though, so if that changes, I will include that information in a future newsletter!

Project Updates!!

I’m going to be debuting Autumn with Puppy & Pig at Zine Machine! Get ready for some cozy vignettes of Puppy and Pig enjoying the season.

INOSCULARUM

In a very exciting bit of news, I am at long last working on the final draft of chapter 1 of Inoscularum!! This is a fantasy series I have been writing and re-writing since high school, and I’m so jazzed to finally be in a place where I can just make it. This story has always been really special to me, and because of that, I was always overly precious with it. In my past couple of years making comics, though, I’ve learned that if I ever want to tell this story, I have to just dive in and start telling it! I’ve pushed past the insecure urge to try to make it exist in a perfect state, and now I’m determined to just make it exist. This first chapter is going to be 46 pages(!), so I’m hoping to have it done sometime next spring or summer. Comics take a really long time to make, but I really do love making ‘em.

COWBOY KITTY

Cowboy Kitty watches a bunch of cats in the saloon dancing to piano music while imagining he is the one playing the piano
Oh, Cowboy Kitty… you’ll get there one day.

Don’t think I’ve forgotten about Cowboy Kitty, either! I’m working on The Adventures of Cowboy Kitty #2 here and there when inspiration strikes. In the meantime, you can read Cowboy Kitty (and all of my other comics!) over on my ComicFury page!

SOME OTHER STUFF!

I’m still feeling out this whole newsletter thing, but I thought it might be fun to have a little section at the end to just talk about whatever. So in no particular order, here’s whatever!

Whatever #1

Anole napping on a leaf
Nothing to see here… just an ordinary leaf…

This cute little green anole decided to go to sleep on one of the leaves on my lemon tree! What a special thing to get to see. :’)

Whatever #2

I recently rewatched Lucio Fulci’s film The Beyond and had an absolute blast. Here’s a short review I wrote of it!

Whatever #3

This newsletter’s song of the month is Bad Girls by Donna Summer! Listening to this song makes me want to go roller skating. Why is it so good? Well, I’ve determined 3 reasons:

  1. Toot toot!

  2. Heeeyyyyyyy…

  3. BEEP BEEP!

END OF SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Okay, well, that’s all for now, folks! Thanks for reading. I hope you have a really great month, and until next time, don’t forget to take some time to go outside and look at the moon.
