Mini-Newsletter: Hourly Comics Day!

A mini-newsletter containing my 2026 Hourly Comics!

This is a bit early for my regularly scheduled newsletter, but that’s because yesterday was Hourly Comics Day! For those unfamiliar, Hourly Comics Day is a once-a-year event where you make a short comic for every hour you’re awake. I love doing this every year, it’s a ton of fun and is a great way to break out of my usual comics-making routine and loosen up a little.

So, here are my hourly comics from this year!

8 AM hourly comic about lucid dreaming
9 AM hourly comic about starting the day
10 AM hourly comic about talking on the phone with my parents
(Note: the “pffft” in panel 4 is meant affectionately, not derisively! And panel 1 is meant to be a joke about doing an impression of Olivia Hussey in Black Christmas when picking up the phone. What can I say, she spoke in cursive! I feel like the joke doesn’t really land, but I wasn’t about to redraw the panel.)
11 AM comic about talking to my mom on the phone while she recounts her scary experience of our dog Cooper being attacked by another dog (they're both okay!)
12 PM hourly comic about getting chili flakes in my eye
1 PM comic about planning meals for the week
2 PM comic about getting ready to make lunches for the week
3 PM comic about a bear bringing home fish to share with its bear mate
4 PM comic about seeing my in-laws and exchanging homemade gifts with them
5 PM comic about the embarrassing experience of biting into a pickle only for it to spray an ungodly amount of pickle juice right onto my boob. I cannot escape food-related humiliation, it seems.
6 PM comic about watching La La Land
7 PM comic about my love for Cillian Murphy
8 PM and 9 P hourly comics about drawing hourly comics and static electricity
10 PM Hourly comic in which I issue an official apology for drawing funny portraits of my family, making a Cillian Murphy thirst comic, and spending all day doodling.

Aaaaand that’s all of ‘em! thanks for reading, and I’ll see you later this month for the usual newsletter. Peace!
