It's a New Year
Hi folks. It’s a new year so, of course, I’m looking back at the last.
Last year, I spent several months trying to schedule an assessment for ADHD and Autism. Finally, I was able to obtain one in November by driving three hours north. It took three weeks to get the results: I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD, which has lead to new medication. While I do have autistic traits and issues with executive function (from the MDD and PTSD) my autistic traits didn’t reach the level of an actual autism diagnosis and neither was I diagnosed with ADHD. I’ve been sitting with this a while.
In other news, we bought a brand new Kia EV6 car last year which has been great. I call it our space-car. Most of the time we’re driving close to home, which has been lovely, and we’re getting used to stopping to charge on longer trips.
We also added another cat to our menagerie last year: Winona or Nona as we usually call her. She is an adorable little black cat with white spots on her chest and tummy and, due to her lack of restraint around food of all types, she has turned into a little potat.
