I'm Tired Y'all

Honestly, I don’t know what to tell you. Britt and I are doing fine; the cats also. (Though Nona I do, occasionally, worry is getting a bit too plump.)
It’s just so depressing to look at our country right now. I’m doing what I can not to feel pained every day at all the senseless destruction. People are dying and America has abdicated all responsibility to the rest of the world.
Look, I know that I’m preaching to the choir. But it’s time for us, and everyone who doesn’t agree with this corrupt, destructive government, to get loud. We need to be talking about what is wrong and why. I don’t just mean protesting, though we need to do that too. We need to make clear to those who don’t see what’s happening or don’t care that all of this is unacceptable.
It’s a scary time to imagine talking to the people who disagree with us. (I was going to say ‘the other side’ but that’s one of the problems that got us here.) People are going to die (they already have) before these criminals in power are held responsible for their crimes (if that is possible) and, if we protest and do the hard things, we may be one of those people. Because if we’re scared and stay quiet the corrupt fascists wins.
PS I quit FB about a month ago. I haven’t missed it. Once I figure out how to get my photos out of their oubliette, I’ll delete my account.
