Season of the Witches

Lately, I've been thinking about this game about witches. It doesn't have a name yet because I've been noodling around with it in my head.

The concept is that one or more witches and their companions live in the woods. There is a village, which represents the mortal world, and the forest represents the unknown supernatural world. The witches live in both worlds and can move between the two.

From a game standpoint, the idea is that people from the village or the forest come to the witches with problems. The problem may be with the other world or their own and the witches may choose to help or not. Either way, it will change their relationship with that community.

I guess what I want is a feeling of belonging to both communities but also living outside of them.

Systematically, I'm thinking within the Blades in the Dark framework because it's relatively simple and I can bash up some playbooks in a couple days and maybe do a playtest.
