08/20/21: Murder in Winterhaven
A while back I promised my Brindlewood Bay players that I would write a different game that was also a cozy murder mystery game but didn't make the mystery a kind of wishy-washy suspect framing mechanic.
(I have nothing against Brindlewood Bay, really. The mechanics just didn't work for me.)
For your edification, here is the first iteration of Murder in Winterhaven which is a little bit Gumshoe, a little bit Blades in the Dark, and a lot of stuff from 40 years of watching cop / procedural / mystery shows.
The game is complete-ish. I still have some cells to fill in on the roll-a-mystery charts and it has yet been playtested but I think it looks good on paper.
