06/10/21: Playtesting with the MGDF
This week I got my feedback on Blood of Meridian from the Magpie Game Design Festival. The good news: I was accepted for play-testing! I hope that means that they think the game is interesting but I couldn’t say what criteria they use. (I mean, obviously, I think it’s interesting; I made it.
Feedback was good and I need to think about it. I always need some time to process when receiving feedback. So, I haven’t come to any strong conclusions or decided about any changes, yet.
It’s been a busy week getting ready for the play-test. I was hopeful of being chosen but I didn’t actually expect it to happen. I’m also feeling anxious about the whole thing. I’m trying to be calm about it but I’m always nervous about a game for new people. Which, you know, I’m not sure where that happened in the last couple decades, but there we are.
So, short check in this week. Next week I’ll pass along how things went.
