#5 Today! Free James Mallinson talk on inversions
Dear subscribers,
Firstly, thank you to all who joined for the History of Yoga event with James Mallinson in April. It was lovely to meet you, and I hope you enjoyed it! Would love to hear any feedback (positive or negative) to help me shape future events. Also, do let me know any areas you would like covered in workshops or talks.
The history of yoga inversions
I am currently in Hamburg for the Yoga Darśana, Yoga Sādhana (YDYS) conference, and we’ve been told this morning that today’s keynote with James Mallinson (again) on inversions will be free and open to all!
Description and joining details below
22nd of May, 16:30 (15:30 UK time) - 18:00
James Mallinson, Boden Professor of Sanskrit, Oxford University
“Yoga Turned on its Head: Inverted Postures and the Realignment of Yogic Practice c. 1000 CE.”

Meeting-ID: 624 2486 8750
password: 51664054
It looks like a portion of the rest of the conference will be streamed, but will require a ticket. You can see the full timetable here, but I believe only those in room ESA W 221 will be online. I’m afraid I’ve no idea of the costs or arrangements for this but details are on this page and the organisers have been very responsive by email.
Please let me know if you are having trouble and I will try to ask them at registration later today.
