VIFF Closing Gala with Chris Gestrin, Jazz Jams, & Chinatown Vibes
The Vancouver International Film Festival is wrapping up this week, and Infidels Jazz is proud to be co-presenting the closing gala which will featuring Vancouver's own Chris Gestrin. Chris will be performing a special solo set of Keith Jarrett inspired music at the Vancouver Playhouse, followed by a screening of Köln 75, a new film about the circumstances surrounding Jarrett's famous Köln Concert. Advance tickets are sold out, but there may be standby tickets available.
Our monthly jam session at Hero's Welcome returns this Sunday, and it'll be hosted by Matt Franceschini! It's free to attend, and all jazz musicians are welcome, including ones under the age of 19 as long as they have a guardian.
A few hours later, the pianist Ben Sigerson will be leading our popular Trio's at Meo Chinatown series. Reservations are recommended.
