Upcoming Infidels Jazz Shows: Mar 20-24
Infidels Jazz has 7 different concerts over the next four days, at 6 different venues!
It all starts tomorrow night with an incredibly special performance by local trailblazer Feven Kidane for our Social Music series at Hero's Welcome. For one night only, Feven will be paying tribute to a true legend of the Vancouver music scene, Mandido Morris. Dido was a percussionist, bandleader, and composer, and influenced a generation of our city's percussionists. Feven's band for this will feature Graham Ord, who was a member of Dido's Hand People band, as well as Ben Millman, Yoro Noukoussi, and Jonny Tobin. This is a unique concert that features both the past and the future of Vancouver's music scene.

On Friday, we're presenting our first show at Hypha Arts in East Van, to celebrate the release of drummer Kevin Romain's second album on the Infidels Jazz label. Kevin will be performing a solo set featuring music from the new album, and will be joined by Jen Yakamovich and Sean Curtis Patrick in this intimate venue.

We're back at the VIFF Centre on Sunday, March 23rd with the latest edition of our popular series there. This one is extra special, and will feature Matt Grinke's Happiest Quintet On Earth, performing a set of your favourite Pixar tunes, alongside a screening of Monsters Inc. Most of our shows with VIFF sell out, so don't miss out on this one.

We'll be back at Frankie's this weekend with our ongoing series Frankie's After Dark. It's a guitar-themed weekend with Seb Chamney and Andrew Skepasts each leading a great trio on Friday and Saturday respectively. All of our After Darks start at 11PM and are only 10 bucks!
This Sunday sees the return of local vocal icon Jennifer Scott to our Sundays at Hero's Welcome series. It starts at 2PM and it’s only ten bucks.
