The music of D'Angelo, the Persian Art Quintet, Mexican Noir & more!

Infidels Jazz is headed into a huge week (end) of music, presenting 9 concerts at 6 different venues!

It all starts on Thursday with Dawn Pemberton & Jonny Tobin teaming up to perform the music of D'Angelo at Hero's Welcome. Advance tickets are sold out, but there will be a few tickets at the door.

Mary Ancheta is one of our city's most exciting and forward thinking musicians. She'll be playing a rare improvised set at Zameen Art House on Friday, along with Sam Davidson, Karlis Silins & Joe Poole.

All of Saba Amrei's concerts for us sell out, and we're expecting the same for her debut at Pyatt Hall with the Persian Art Quintet! There will be a special guest on this one!

Midnight Boogaloo is influenced by the New York sound of the 60s and 70s and is a high energy act that will move you physically and emotionally. The repertoire is a mix of original and traditional music from Latin America including styles like Cumbia, Salsa and Boogaloo, with a Rock & Roll aesthetic. They'll be performing at VIFF Centre on March 27, along with a screening of one of the great Mexican films of the 1940's, Salon Mexico.

Todd Stewart performed at our very first Frankie's After Dark four years ago, and he'll be back this Friday with Ruthie Ha & Cole Woodland! David Caballero will be back there on Saturday with Lucas Dubovic & Kevin Romain. Taras Luka, Marcus Abramzik & Ben Kyle will be playing our Sound Stages series at Meo Chinatown this weekend!
