New York Based drummer Michael Sarin has been a cornerstone of the American avant-garde scene for over 30 years, known for his work with Dave Douglas, Myra Melford, Anthony Coleman, Thomas Chapin & John Zorn.

On August 14th Sarin performs in Vancouver for the first time in decades, collaborating with long-time colleagues Ron Samworth & Bill Clark, two veterans of the Vancouver creative music scene. This performance is part of the New Thing, a monthly live music series presented by Infidels Jazz with assistance from the VJO Society.
