Legendary jazz singer Roberta Gambarini performs in Vancouver for the first time
Roberta Gambarini is a one of the contemporary jazz world's brightest vocal lights, having performed with everyone from the Heath Brothers to Hank Jones. She was part of Roy Hargrove's band for almost two decades and is a two-time Grammy nominee. According to Kevin Lowenthal of the Boston Globe, she's a true successor to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan & Carmen McRae.
Tamir Hendelman has been one of the most sought after pianists in jazz for over 30 years. As the pianist for the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra he's played with Gladys Knight & Diana Krall, and has recorded with Barbra Streisand & Natalie Cole.
On July 26th, these two stars are teaming up in Vancouver for the very first time, in a rare duo performance. This is Gambarini's first performance in Vancouver.
