Latin Jazz, Studio Ghibli, & World Music Collaborations
Over the next 4 days, Infidels Jazz is proud to present 7 concerts in the city of Vancouver, at 4 different venues.
It all starts on August 21 with two incredible shows. At Pyatt Hall, guitarist / pianist Itamar Erez and percussionist Hamin Honari are celebrating the release of their new album Migrant Voices with a special concert at Pyatt Hall. This intimate space is the perfect venue for these two gifted musicians. Tickets are selling quickly for this one.

At the same time, Susana Williams will be leading her first Infidels Jazz concert at Hero's Welcome, as part of our popular Social Music series there. Susana is one of the first Latin jazz musicians in the country, and we're clearing tables so that folks can dance up a storm. Tickets are selling quickly for this one, and most shows in this series sell out.

On August 22, Isabel Leong's Ghibli Jazz Orchestra makes its triumphant return and will be performing at Vancouver's legendary Hollywood Theatre for the very first time...twice. The 8PM show sold out in just a few weeks, and the 5PM show isn't far behind. This is probably the last time that the GJO will perform in a venue this small, so please don't miss out!

One of Canada's most renowned jazz musicians makes his return to Hero's Welcome this Sunday as Brad Turner leads his long-running quartet as part our Sunday's series there. Tickets are only $10 at the door for this one!

Last but not least, we've got two great shows at Frankie's After Dark this weekend. Singer Laura Crema and pianist Jillian Lebeck debut a brand new quartet on Friday night, and the one and only Jimi James leads his fantastic trio there on Saturday night.
