John Pizzarelli plays Vancouver for the first time in over 20 years
With more than 30 albums to his credit, Pizzarelli remains a towering figure in jazz, celebrated for his masterful guitar work, relaxed vocal charm, and his ability to bridge the gap between classic jazz, swing, and modern pop. As a master of the Great American Songbook, he is often compared to Nat King Cole.
Pizzarelli's latest album celebrates the centennial of iconic singer Tony Bennett. Dear Mr. Bennett features Pizzarelli’s trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett – favourites of which will be highlighted at this concert at CapU’s Blueshore Theatre on September 10th.
