Jazz + Heavy Metal, Dawn Pemberton + Aretha Franklin, & GoGo Penguin returns

Infidels Jazz is so excited to be presenting 10 concerts over the next 4 days at 7 different venues!

If you love loud jazz and heavy metal at the same time, you're going to want to hear Mike WT Allen's Space Elevator at the Rickshaw on Friday! Fusion shredders Chopping Spree will open up the show.

France's Illyes Ferfera blends Algerian music with jazz on his latest album, and on Thursday he'll play music from it at the new Alliance Française Theatre on Cambie.

The English fusion trio GoGo Penguin makes its long-awaited return to Vancouver this Saturday at The Centre in downtown Vancouver!

On Saturday, nebyoha will play a unique blend of singer/songwriter folk and Ethiopian jazz at Mom's on Granville as part of their two-year celebration party!

Canadian national treasure Dawn Pemberton is performing the music of Aretha Franklin at the VIFF Centre this weekend! Advance tickets to both shows are sold out, but there MAY be limited spots available at the door.

We've got two of the city's hottest guitarists at Frankie's After Dark this weekend as Harrison Ivaz plays there on Friday, and Jake Kostuchuk is there on Saturday.

Sharon Minemoto hosts our monthly jam session at Hero's Welcome this Sunday afternoon, and saxophonist Connor Lum plays our popular Trios series at Meo Chinatown later that night.

Lastly, trumpeter and composer Ethan Lawrence plays our Pass the Hat series at Hot Deli on November 17th, performing some of his original music written for film.
