Jazz Festival is Over... Long Live Jazz!
The 40th annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival is (almost) over, but the music never stops. Infidels Jazz is hard at work bringing you amazing musical experiences all year round, and we have literally over 100 concerts scheduled over the next few months. We wanted to take a moment to highlight just a few of the bigger ones that we've got scheduled.
The Gordon Grdina Trio has been an integral part of this city's creative music Scene for almost two decades, and they'll be playing their only show of 2025 as part of our Social Music Series at Hero's Welcome on July 24!

Bill Orcutt is an American guitar legend, especially if you love your guitar on the more experimental side. He will be performing his first Vancouver concert in over 30 years on August 7th at the Kingsway Club, and JP Carter & The Battery will be opening.

We will be celebrating the 100th birthday of the great Oscar Peterson on August 15th, and we've asked the incomparable Miles Black to help us do that, with a very special concert at Pyatt Hall.

On August 22nd at the Hollywood Theatre, The Ghibli Jazz Orchestra plays their biggest concert ever. The first show is almost sold out, and we've already announced a second earlier one!

Legendary saxophonist George Garzone celebrates his 75th birthday with us at Tyrant Studios on September 23...which also happens to be John Coltrane's 99th! George is joined by the Jerry Steinhilber Trio, and they'll play two shows of Coltrane's music that night.

On September 27, we present or funkiest show ever, with a special double bill at the Fox that shines a spotlight on both Betty Davis & Miles Davis. Featuring Mary Ancheta & Electric Miles!

We're back at the Rickshaw on November 2ne, with Seamus Blake leading an all-star band through the music of Eddie Harris!

All this, plus performances by Itamar Erez & Hamin Honari, Susana Williams, Cat Toren's Human Kind, Mike WT Allen's Space Elevator, Robin Layne, Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth, Chopping Spree, Matt Grinke's Happiest Jazz Quintet on Earth, the Rocky Horror Music Show, Gogo Penguin, and dozens and dozens more to come.
