Global Supergroup: Gordon Grdina's RU'YA

RU’YA is the culmination of 20 years of global musical explorations by guitarist/composer/oudist Gordon Grdina, includeing elements of Persian classical music and Arabic maqam. It features vocalist Ghalia Benali (Belgium/Tunisia), pianist Matt Mitchell (U.S.), violinist Eylem Basaldi (Türkiye/U.S.), percussionist Hamin Honari (Canada), and drummer Christian Lillinger (Germany), in addition to Grdina on oud. Their performance at Vancouver's Christ Church Cathedral is a very unique opportunity to hear a literal supergroup of acclaimed musicians from all over the world.
