Infidels Jazz has been celebrating the 100th birthday of John Coltrane all month long with various live events that featuring our very best jazz musicians. It all comes to a head this weekend, with 5 incredible concerts.

Our biggest show this weekend is one of the most ambitious concerts in Vancouver jazz history, as a 17 person string orchestra (featuring local musicians) performs brand new arrangements of John Coltrane's music!

On Thursday, Cuba Meets Coltrane takes over Hero's Welcome, with Ryan Oliver leading a Cuban band!

On Friday, Ryan is at VIFF, pairing a live Coltrane set with a documentary about the life of John Coltrane. This one is sold out but there MAY be a few tickets available at the door.

On Saturday, Ryan plays A Love Supreme in it's entirety, at the Telus Studio at the Chan. This one is sold out.

All this, plus Bill Runge plays our Sundays at Hero's series, and Jonny Tobin plays Meo Chinatown!
