Celebrating the Music of Hugh Fraser
Jimi James has quickly earned a reputation as one of the Canadian Jazz scene's hottest pianists, stemming from his work with his long-running trio, his collaborations with West Coast legends John Gross and Campbell Ryga, and with the Jimi James Sextet. On October 17, the Sextet performs at Pyatt Hall for the very first time, performing the music of Jimi's father, Hugh Fraser.
Hugh Fraser was a true Canadian legend, travelling the world as one of the Canadian jazz scene's foremost spokespeople, performing with icons like Dizzy Gillespie and Clark Terry.
