Avant-Garde Flamenco Music, a Legendary Trio, & Trad Jazz
Infidels Jazz is presenting 4 incredible concerts this weekend, at 3 different venues!
Our Social Music series returns at Hero's Welcome on July 24, with the Gordon Grdina Trio! This is a seminal Vancouver band, legendary in the creative music scene here. This will be their only show of 2025, and tickets are close to selling out. There will be some tickets at the door, but they'll be more expensive.
One of Gordon's colleagues in his Haram band is Emad Armoush, who is leading a new group for us the next night at the Zameen Art House: The Avant-Garde Flamenco Trio! This group features Kenton Loewen & JP Carter, who have two albums out on our record label.
We've also got two very different editions of Frankie's After Dark this weekend, led by two phenomenal saxophonists. On Friday we've got Connor Lum, a favourite of many Infidels Shows. And on Saturday we've got Neal Wang in his first Infidels show as a leader, with a trad jazz night!
