Bassist Christian McBride is one of the biggest names in Jazz, having travelled the world with a dizzying array of different bands, and having performed/recorded with everyone from Chick Corea to James Brown, and from Joe Henderson to Dave Brubeck. 

On May 27th, McBride is bringing Ursa Major to Vancouver for the very first time. This group features some of the hottest rising stars in the music right now: Nicole Glover on tenor saxophone, Ely Perlman on guitar, Mike King on piano, and Savannah Harris on drums. 

In addition, Canadian drumming phenom Arvind Ramdas will be opening the show, with a fantastic quintet that features Tamas Balai, Spencer Drody, Noah Franche-Nolan, and David Caballero.
