ION Glasgow November Update & Next Meeting
Hi there,
Thank you to those who were able to attend the second ION Glasgow meeting on November 2nd. Much of the meeting was spent in small, randomised discussion groups as went through this agenda. Partial notes from some of those groups can be found, here.
📅 Our next meeting is pencilled in for Saturday, December 14th, but please fill out this poll to let us know if you would prefer another date. We're planning to discuss: ION's structure and boundaries, plans for 2025, community and conflict resolution, and working group updates. See and input into the full agenda, here.
🚀 In the meantime, we have just launched a shiny new discussion forum at forum.ion-glasgow.net!
This online space is designed for slower-paced, deeper discussions and community building in-between our regular in-person / hybrid events (which remain ION's primary focus). Important updates, such as info about upcoming meetings, will always be sent out via email, so joining is totally optional, but we'd love to see lots of you on there!
We hope that this discussion forum will be a more suitable home for deeper organising discussions, rather than relying on overwhelming Signal group chats. Working groups are welcome to move their on-going work over to the forum, rather than Signal, but this is totally optional. The primary Signal group chat(s) will remain active for key announcements and brief updates.
