PALESTINE 36 SNEAK PREVIEW THIS SATURDAY!
The INWCLP, in collaboration with Watermelon Pictures and Magic Lantern Theater, is bringing a sneak preview of the historical drama “Palestine 36” to Spokane, in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People November 29th!
“Palestine 36” has been selected by more than a dozen international film festivals in 2025, and is Palestine’s official submission for the 98th Academy Awards.
In 1936 Palestine, during the longest uprising against British colonial subjugation, Jewish refugees flee persecution in Europe and all sides spiral towards inevitable collision. At this decisive moment for the future of the entire region, Yusef is caught between his home village and work in Jerusalem. Directed by Annemarie Jacir and featuring Hiam Abbass, Saleh Bakri, and Jeremy Irons, among many luminaries.
