Another slice of Deep Dish! Wednesdays at Osler
We think of Deep Dish informally as the “getting to know Hot Pizza” studio, and it’s consistently one of our most popular. With new activities and materials each week, kids get to express themselves in so many ways while being supported by professional artists who teach new skills.
The course sold out at both locations for this term. But we’ve just opened a new section, which meets 4–6 p.m. on Wednesdays at our Osler Street location. Come join the fun!
Characters welcome: Comics class on Saturday, September 26
Kids love our Comics courses so much we run them every semester. Can’t make it to HP during the week? A few times a year we host a one-off Saturday session for those who love making characters, building worlds, and telling fantastical stories. Join faculty member Mike Ellis, author of the long-running graphic-novel series Pieces of Eights, for a fun, two-hour session that will energize participants and give them direction to continue unspooling their ideas on the page at home.

Beloved HP instructor Sarah Aranha, who has led many of our watercolour workshops, returns to share another of her artistic specialties: block printing! Spend an evening turning a simple drawing into a hand-carved block, then use it to build bold, repeating patterns on fabric. Bring a cotton or linen garment, tote bag, tea towel, or another natural-fibre item ready for reinvention—or pick up a blank tote from us that evening. Beginners are very welcome; all you need is curiosity and something you’d like to transform. At 134 Osler St.
