NEWSLETTER #1: The Delayed First Installment
Hey Party People!
Thanks so much for subscribing, more than likely months ago, to my newsletter!
In case you forgot, my name is Kevin Michael Rowe and I make comics! You can buy em here!
I created N.A.R.L.I. the Radical Robot.
Co-Created Invasion on Center Street with Louis Petersen.
Co-Created the Burning of Kingston with Chris O’Neal.
And made a bunch of mini comics and zines.
I also co-organize the Kingston Independent Comic Expo.
This newsletter is just going to be a place where I can share the rad stuff that I, and friends of mine, work on. I also started taking art classes at the local college, so I plan on sharing my journey with that.
Basically it’s going to be a bunch of Rad Stuff for Rad People.
I want to say that I’ll be sending out two a month, but who friggin knows? I originally planned on getting this out six months ago, so one thing you can be sure of is that I won’t be bombing your inbox every week with garbage.
One feature that will be a constant is what I’m calling “Read, Watch, Listen” where I share dope stuff you should be aware of inside and outside of the world of comics. Here’s the first installment now!

Asian Man Records put out one of my favorite albums of all time, and the fact that Mike Park has been doing it for 30 years out of a garage is mind blowing. He is the gold standard when it comes to DIY Ethics, and I hope I can bring a fraction of that into my own work. FUN FACT: I emailed him when I was in high school asking for tips on how to start a record label, and he told me that my lable name was terrible! I wonder how he feels about my publishing company name?
WATCH
I don’t know how I feel about this movie, but I can tell you that I cracked up laughing when I saw the creative team behind it. I won’t spoil it here, but I hope you find it as funny as I did.
LISTEN
Speaking of Asian Man Records, the debut album by Alkaline Trio changed my life. In my opinion its the best debut record of all time. You should buy it!
