  • Cormac Murphy wins X-Golf/Racing Sims competition. Month three of the fastest lap competition used the Ford Mustang GT3 around Around Philip Island on iRacing.

  • Tri-Nations Esports Cup racing August 4th. The top 10 kiwis from qualifying are through to the main event where they will race head to head on iRacing against the top 10 Aussies and top 10 UK drivers. Prizes include Next Level Racing equipment so there’s plenty for fight for.

  • Logi Race Days Fastest Lap Competition. Logitech have teamed up with One NZ NorthWest to host a Gran Turismo fastest lap competition. The event runs on August 10th and September 14th at One NZ NorthWest shopping center (in Auckland) with the winner of each day picking up an A50 headset and Playstation 5.   • IMSA Esports back with 25k prize pool. The 4 round teams iRacing series will feature big names like Team Redline and Williams Esports alongside teams that come through the open qualifiers in October. 44 cars will race across GTP and GTD categories. Read more.

Extras

  • LetsPlay.Live acquired by Dynasty Gaming. The NZ company has been organising the countries biggest esports competitions across many titles for years. Those have included racing events for GT Sport, PCars2, WRC, and iRacing (the latest series, NZEHL, being postponed in July). It’s unclear what effect this will have, if any, on future tournaments.   • Olympic Esports Games set for 2025. After the Olympic Esports Series last year the Olympics have announced a 12 year deal with Saudi Arabia to host the Olympic Esports Games. Games or any other details for the 2025 event are yet to be announced. Might we see the return of Tic Tac Bow?

  • Australia Motorsport Games Qualifier August 16th. With the FIA Motorsport Games set for October in Valencia Motorsport Aus are ready to select their representatives for both iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione. 12 drivers on each platform will race for the one spot. Read more.
