Mega Esports Silverstone 6 hour on ACC. After the rumours in May we now have an official announcement. With backing from the people behind the Nazcar & Mega Street real racing series/events the organisers are hoping this event is just the start of something bigger. See more and join through Facebook & Discord.
NZ Esports Racing Series (NZERS) back for 2024. Last year saw the top 10 Gran Turismo drivers descend on Respawn Esports Center fighting for a Radical drive at Highlands Motorsport Park + more. This years series is still in the planning stage so expect updates in future editions of Hectic News.
Motorsport NZ (MSNZ) fumbles free iRacing licenses. The FIA have announced a partnership with iRacing which includes free iRacing subscriptions being passed out through member clubs. You can’t get one from MSNZ however with the only apparent reason being their incompetence. MSNZ, even with a member on the FIA Esports Commission, continues to struggle with everything esports. I’ve been in communication with MSNZ about the program since March without any progress.
