June Sim Racing Updates

Quick sim racing updates from around NZ plus a bonus section with upcoming NZ leagues worth getting involved in.

NZ Sim Racing

  • Antal Sabo wins NZ Toyota 86 E-Cup (NZTEC). After 5 big weeks of racing in NZs premier iRacing competition the championship has been decided. It was a chaotic end to the season but no one can deny we have a deserving champion.
    1st: Antal Sabo - 411 points, 10 race wins

  • Aus/NZ Endurance Series Round 3 results. Sundays 4 hours of Paul Ricard was won by Jeeesh and CaptainMuffin. 4 rounds still remain spread across the rest of 2025 to decide who will win the real racing drive at a Mega motorsport endurance event.

  • Enduro for Men’s Health. The charity fundraiser event is taking entries for their 5 hour iRacing enduro on June 14th. Get amongst it or tune in to NZ Sim Racing TV on the day to watch the broadcast and donate to a great cause.

  • Subaru Sim coming to Fieldays. The same setup used at the Taupo Supercars is coming to Fieldays June 11-14th. With a similar time trial competition and WRX Track Experience prize it’s worth checking out.

  • Ferrari Esports Series kicking off. Once again running across AC, ACC, and iRacing the world wide series kicks off June 2nd. Prizes include Ferrari merch, Thrustmaster gear and more.

  • Logitech G Challenge under way. Still on Forza Motorsport the series is back for another season with qualifier 1 closing on June 11th.

  • F1 25 released. The latest yearly release came on May 30th.

NZ League Racing

  • Manawatu Car Club E Series. The 4 round iRacing MX5s series is taking entries before round 1 on June 19th. Open to all the brand new series has already attracted over 100 drivers into their discord.

  • Virtual Racing Aotearoa Nascar Series. Kicking off June 15th the iRacing series will run for 14 rounds on Sunday nights.

  • Kiwi Sim Racing (KSR) next season coming. Kicking off June 24th the latest KSR series features 10 weeks of iRacing touring car action.

  • SuperCars NZ Winter Series. The latest season’s are starting in June and July across both Supercars and GT3s/GTEs on iRacing.

  • Supercars coming to Christchurch. It’s now confirmed that the Supercars series is coming to the Euromarque Motorsport Park in 2026 in an NZ double header with Taupo.
