Some events leave a mark. Not just on a results sheet, but on the people who were part of them.

That's the story of the Enduro for Men's Health — a five-hour virtual endurance race born out of the NZ Sim Racing Hub community, and a belief that getting blokes together, even online, can genuinely make a difference. After another successful year, it's back for 2026, and it's bigger than ever.

What started as a passion project has quietly grown into something remarkable. Over the years, this New Zealand-based community has raised more than $25,000 for men's mental health causes — not through corporate campaigns or big-budget drives, but through mates, racing, and a shared sense of purpose. The kind of thing that's hard to manufacture and easy to want to be part of.

"Sim racing brings people together in a way that's kind of surprising," says one of the organisers. "You've got guys who might not normally talk about how they're doing, suddenly working as a team, solving problems, and just having fun together."

That's the real engine behind this event. Yes, there's racing — proper, competitive, edge-of-your-seat enduro racing on iRacing — but it's the connections that keep people coming back. Drivers from New Zealand, Australia, and beyond, many of whom have never met in person, showing up year after year because the community means something to them.

While the results are secondary it’s a prestigious winners list.

The 2025 edition was a standout. Partnering with Men's Health Week, the event raised over $5,000, with teams of up to five drivers battling it out in the Audi GTO at Canadian Tyre Motorsport Park. The race was broadcast live on NZ Sim Racing TV, with charity auctions running alongside the action. And true to form, the whole thing was as much about laughter and camaraderie as it was about the chequered flag.

This year the Enduro for Mental Health is proud to once again partner with Men’s Health Week to continue spreading awareness and raise support for mens health.

A pack of candy sticks with the text " If you had a smoking problem when there were the go - might be time to check your score."

The main event? A five-hour endurance race on June 13 using the iRacing simulator, with teams of drivers from all over New Zealand, Australia, and beyond.

  • Date: June 13th. Practice/Qualifying from 12pm. Race start 2pm.

  • Teams: 1 to 5 drivers

  • Platform: iRacing

  • Car: TCR

  • Track: Adelaide

  • Charity: Men’s Health Week. $50 entry donation required per team. Donations also open during the race to bribe the stewards.

Now, with 2026's event on the horizon, the team is ready to do it all again — and they want you involved.

Whether you're a seasoned sim racer or someone who's never touched a wheel, this event is designed to be welcoming. Entry is just a $50 donation per team, and the community is full of people ready to help newcomers get up to speed. The event Discord is the hub for all race communication, while the NZ Sim Racing Hub discord and facebook group are great places to ask questions, find teammates, and get a feel for what makes this community tick.

"There's always someone who's new to sim racing, or maybe just not sure where to start," the team says. "That's why we built this community — to make it easy to get into, ask questions, and find your tribe."

Men's Health Week is the backdrop, but the message is evergreen. Connection matters. Community matters. And sometimes, the best conversations start when you're two hours into a five-hour race, your co-driver has just spun into the gravel, and somehow you're both still laughing about it.

This is one of those events that earns its reputation by simply being genuinely good. And that reputation has grown the Enduro for Mens Health into one of NZs greatest enduro races. Good fun, good people, good cause. If you've been on the fence about getting involved — this is your sign.

Jump in. The grid's waiting.
