“It was never about school” ~ halimah wunmi

You’ve probably heard of a successful person or Successful people that don’t have a college degree. Some even stopped at high school especially in Nigeria (school cert),some even dropped out (cause “they couldn’t afford it”) but they can confidently say that even though they didn’t further their education they are still successful. How?

It’s not about where you attended school or how much your school fees are( whether it can buy someone else’s home or not).

It’s about you, how you do it, how you attend the school. (As if).
Are you using what you were taught in school in situations that requires learning?

I can tell you this cause I’ve been at home (no school) for about 2 years and some months (2 to be precise) and I’m saying 80% to 85% of what I know now weren’t taught in school.

And I’ve never been smarter in the 6 years I spent in sec compared to these 2 years (approx). :)

School taught me the basics that is the 20%,
Communicating in English, putting sentences together and 2+1 ( i learnt those the school) but what matters and will continue to ( financial literacy, self development, comprehension of knowledge,encompassing situations, relationships,learning and unlearning etc) they weren’t and wouldn’t be taught in school(maybe in years to come)cause that’s just how the system is.

So on that note, go elsewhere apart from school to learn ( read books, watch videos, read blogs, listen to podcasts, learn from people) etc.

GOOGLE! There are literally AIs everywhere (Snapchat has an Ai even WhatsApp you have safari there’s even chatgpt).EDUCATE YOURSELF.

The thing is “if it didn’t dey, e didn’t dey” but “you can make it dey”!.Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

School is not a scam please, it just goes beyond the four walls of the classroom.
