Affirmations,YAY or NAH

Welcome to another week of Halimah’s letters.

In this week’s letter we’ll talk about affirmations. Is it worth it or not?

Starting my self development journey, I wasn’t the biggest believer of AFFIRMATIONS I found it”somehow” .

However I’ve started believing in how it makes you believe in your self more.
Affirmations has genres also, be it being beautiful, building self love, trusting your self and so on,different affirmations for different issues.
In a nutshell,affirmations work.
I have seen days where I actually believe my affirmations and it makes me feel good.

So,here’s how to affirm. Regularly or irregularly

The one I do currently: (Regularly)

I have my affirmations at the side of my bed, (I wrote it in a cardboard and stuck it on the wall)
When I wake up and before I sleep I read it to myself. I forget at times but we’ll be fine.
Yours could be your wallpaper, in your notes app, a reminder everyday or even the example I gave.

How to affirm randomly :
> pick out a sheet of paper or sticky notes and write on it based on your genre.

> put it in the middle of a book or something that way you’ll see it regularly even when you’ve forgotten about it, you see it you read it.

“I was feeling unmotivated on this day I wrote this page, so i decided to affirm myself cause honestly that was the only way I could bring back my self trust. Picked a sheet of paper, cut into it 2 and wrote the Same affirmations on both then I put it in a page of the books I’ was currently reading ( I haven’t touched those books in weeks) I don’t know when I’ll see the affirmations again cause I can’t say the page I dropped it but it made me feel better” and I know the next time I see it I’ll be smiling and affirming myself from ear to ear :).

Here are some affirmations for you.
I deserve everything I want
If I want it, it’s already mine
My business is growing
I make a choice that each day is better than the previous
Everything I want is already within me
I love myself
I am an asset

Affirmations don’t just “work” it takes mindset shifting. You believe what you say to yourself. It’s a gradual process.
