WOLFCLAW is a first-person eat-em-up game where you play as a werewolf ghost, killing/eating/possessing as many people as possible until your rampage is brought to a bloody end. We made it for the 7DFPS Jam, and it’s out now!

A FIRST-PERSON EAT-EM-UP GAME

The primary thing I wanted to experiment with with this game was a nonstandard FPS camera, which is normally considered the “eyes” of the protagonist, but here it’s situated squarely in the main character’s mouth. This way, when you eat people, you actually get to see the whole thing happen! None of that Skyrim “you’re in 3rd person now” bullshit!

It’s been a delight working with Noé on this project! They brought some very cool technical expertise and design concepts — the whole “your skills change with the phase of the real-life moon” thing was their idea, and it feels VERY fun in action. It’s a full moon right now, so until it changes, the game is much more frantic as your character gains bloodlust faster!

Let me know what you think! It’s a smaller project because we’ve both been very busy during the jam, but I think it’s turned out nicely :)

A quick interstitial: I’ve been asked by Cohost’s own TheBlackNerd to link his cookie recipes! Check ‘em out, they’re very good! https://ko-fi.com/theblacknerd/shop

Question of the week: Uhhhhh how’s the game? Did you like it? Let me know lmao

That’s all for this week! If you respond to the question, I might put your answer in next week’s newsletter :)
