October update! !!DEADLINE EXTENSION!!
Howdy folks!
I hope weird season has been treating all of you well!
Getting right down to business: we haven’t had a super large submission pool this quarter, which can definitely be blamed on far less outreach than we had for Dgz1. As a result, to allow for more folks to find out about the zine and submit - particularly as spooky season is upon us which may make more folks want to get weird - you’ll notice sticky notes begin to show up around town noting that submissions have been extended till October 31st! This also means the release will happen in mid November, it’ll arrive on everyone’s digital doorsteps like a warm batch of spooky cookies to help November stay a little cheerier!
Beyond the digizine: we also have some seeds of a vjay night coming together, if you are a vjay, live video performer, or interactive video artist and are interested in performing at a bar some time in the winter months, please reach out to us at hmvcCourier@pm.me ! We also would love to hear from noise and lounge music musicians if you’d be at all interested in setting some score to the audio-less sets!
Finally, starting next month the digizine is going to take a hiatus until the summer, and in its place we will be opening up the HMVC Open Tutorial Library! If you have a hobby, weird skill, or just a passion for teaching the simple stuff, keep an eye out for submissions!
