The Small Habits I Keep Because They Make My Life Easier.

These tiny habits are not aesthetic or deep - they just make my day less stressful.

Hey friend, 👋

Let me tell you something honestly:

Most of the “habits” people post online… I don’t do them.

I don’t wake up at 5 AM.

I don’t do a perfect morning routine.

And I’m definitely not one of those people who drink lemon water while writing their goals for the week.😅 

But I do have a few small habits that make my life easier - not “better,” not “productive,” just easier.

And I think that’s enough.

Let me share three of them with you.

1. I write down only the next thing I need to do - not a full to-do list

I used to write full lists.

Long ones.

Color-coded.

Cute.

And stressful.

Now I just write the next immediate step so my brain stops rushing ahead.

Not “Write the newsletter.”

Just “Open a blank page.”

Not “Organize content.”

Just “Pick one topic.”

It’s shocking how much lighter that feels.

2. I batch annoying tasks into one small window

Instead of replying emails, messages, and doing small admin work throughout the day…

I give them one 20–30 minute slot.

That way I’m not constantly switching my brain from one thing to another like a radio with bad reception.

It saves so much mental energy.

3. I stop working the moment I feel myself forcing it.

Not when I’m tired.

Not when the day is over.

The moment I start forcing the work.

I don’t “power through.”

I don’t guilt-trip myself.

I just pause.

Funny enough, when I come back later, the thing that felt hard ends up feeling normal again.

Sometimes my brain just wants a break, but it doesn’t know how to ask nicely.

Why am I telling you this?

Because a lot of people talk about habits like they are part of some big personal transformation.

Mine are not cute or impressive.

They’re just useful.

They help me keep my sanity and reduce unnecessary stress.

And if you’ve been thinking your habits are too “small” or “simple,” let me tell you:

Small habits are actually the ones you keep.

The dramatic ones don’t last.

Anyway, that’s what’s been helping me lately.
